Government Extends Gratitude to Individuals Involved in Ncell Tax Scam Case

Kathmandu: During a meeting of the Council of Ministers at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM), the government has decided to express its gratitude to all those who contributed to the Ncell tax scam case on behalf of Nepal at the international commission.

The cabinet meeting, held today, acknowledged and thanked everyone involved, including the lawyers who represented Nepal in the case.

According to Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Dhanraj Gurung, the favorable verdict in the case has saved billions of Nepali currency. He explained that Ncell itself had initiated the case at the international court, and the recent verdict resulted in Nepal's victory. Minister Gurung highlighted that if the outcome had been negative, Nepal would have incurred a loss of around Rs 60-65 billion.

Minister Gurung emphasized that the country's success in the case is a significant achievement, and as a result, the government has decided to extend thanks to all parties involved.

This includes the lawyers who advocated for Nepal's position and the personnel from the Ministry of Law who dedicated their strenuous efforts to the case.
